| The Fuel Distributor is a very expensive part that is low in supply so I was curious if there is a way to get rid of it permanently. I am new to the car so I am trying to find a permanent alternative. |

I'm going to get it rebuilt. Was looking to see if there is alternative fuel systems that are swappable because it seems as though distributors go out fairly quickly and it's going to be annoying when I have to do it again. |

Well you could go retro and put on carbs, or higher tech and go with Mega-Squirt. Both will require a lot of fiddling. _________________ 1979 924 NA race car H-Prod SCCA

| EFI, no matter if you choose EFI, carbs, it will likely cost more than the car is worth. But at least EFI will be sweet. I don't understand carbs, why you would want that unless you like the old school look or is limited by regulations. |

What? if you have it properly rebuilt and dont put diesel, sand and twigs into your fuel tank the next time you're going to have to rebuild the distributor is probably in 40 years...is that fairly quickly to you?
Also...how do you know its the dizzy and not the WUR? _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

What Morghan said.
I rebuilt the fuel distributor in my race car with a kit and resealed it with Loctite 542 spread between the plates with a razor blade. Have been winning races for two years. _________________ 1979 924 NA race car H-Prod SCCA

Why? A good working CIS should be as reliable as any. Is there anything currently wrong with the distributor? An EFi solution will cost as much as refurbing the existing CIS system. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife
