I am trying to tune my 924 N/A with MS.
Now I have some problems, I have a AFR table but I dont think is very good
If some one will check my msq file and give some notes, (I have just started to tune) then sent me a PM with email, and I will sent it.
Thanks _________________ tuning is like a good hobby, it never gets bored |

Get a wideband. Seriously I tuned my car with MS1 and it was like a guessing game without the wideband. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

If you do a bit of searching, I've posted all of my tables for my 924 N/A.

Ah yes, that's a good post, maybe some kindly moderator can sticky it?

I've got some tables too, which work just fine at the moment.
The only problem is that I've probably got another setup; raised CR, itb's etc. and therefore running alpha-N instead of the speed density algorithm.
Still, if you'd like some help, let me know. My msn adress is the hotmail adress I specified in my profile. _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

I have a question
what kind of MAP value are you all running when idling?
I have 59 Kpa...
On the MS site they say 25 is around normal.
My engine idles around 850 rpm _________________ tuning is like a good hobby, it never gets bored |

I'm around high 40s, low 50s. Bigger TB might be causing that. Never been down below 40 at idle for me. _________________ Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot about Porsche!

60 at the moment, measured in a damping box.
I've had it near 50kpa before. Once 45, but that was at the injectors (in head) and not the tb. _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

How do I get this down?
Becaus I am trying to set all the injector karateristics
At the moment I am having PWM current limit off 30% and 10ms of opening time, I am trying to change it to 30% and 1.7 ms. And I am changing my REQF form 18 to 13.4. _________________ tuning is like a good hobby, it never gets bored |

I have some new problems, I don't get the injector karateristics good
This is what I have
Injector opening time 7.0ms
PWM current limit 40%
Time threshold 4.0ms
PWM periode 66us
Req fuel 19
I have bosch 0280150158 944 injetors (2.9 ohm) 23 lbs
It ilde's at 55 Kpa with a VE of 69. If I gently push the throttle and get it up to 70-75 Kpa Ve is then 77 it leans out.
If i set the timethreshold under 3.7ms it run very bad, so what I thougt, the time threshold must be a bit higher. But the Megamanual says that if your injectors are less then 3ohm your current limit should be around 30% or less and the time threshold 1 ms. And they say it should be more then 1.5-1.7 or your injectors will fry...
so what am I doing wrong?? _________________ tuning is like a good hobby, it never gets bored |

I think I have found a sulution... I have a set of 18lbs high impedance volvo injectors.
That will solve the problem of time threshold and pwm threshold.
What should I use for injector opening time, when I use the high impedance?

Start with 1 millisecond, and get the car running with that, you can't tune it properly until the car is drivable.
