Well, as the title says, i'm 3 races into the current championship, and I've managed 3 third places.
Considering that i am giving away the thick end of 200 BHP to all the other players in my class, i am pretty chuffed with the results.
The events however have been on the Hills, where sheer power is not nescessarily such an advantage. So why the discrepancy? Well, i am running qualifying spec slicks, and the Championship structure dictates that my car is lmited to 250 BHP if i run slicks, whereas the other cars are unlimited in terms of power, but restricted to using road legal/trackday spec tyres.
So the next event is a very fast circuit called Castle Combe, where i fully expect to have my backside handed to me on a plate by the GT3's and 993 RSR. Hey Ho
One issue i have found with the car is the savage power delivery. As the turbo is a KKK/GT hybrid, it has a turbine capable of 400+bhp, and a compressor suited for 300BHP max. This was the smallest unit that would mate to the KKK hotside.
So when she comes on boost, it is mental, and i do mean mental. She goes from 70bhp to 240bhp in 800 rpm.!! It's like a bomb has gone off in the front. The back lights up, and it goes. Or wheelspins!!
Simon is going OK in his Supercharged 924, but has been beset with some technichal gremlins of late. Hopefully these will be resolved by next weekend, and he will return to his winning ways again.
If any of the members on this board that are based in the UK fancy coming along for a great day out, do it. You are not confined to a grandstand, but you are free to wander the paddock and track fairly freely. Have a look at the calendar for the Speed Champ on the PCGB website and drop me a line. As competitors, we get plenty of tickets, so it's a cheap day out.

No tips at all, I am actually not very computer literate. I'm sure someone will chime in with help. Sorry about trying to get you banned, had to be done, I'll buy you a beer next time you are in my area. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

No worries, I'll hold it as a personal grudge between us for years now.
My PC is being fixed at the moment, but i should be able to post up a few runs from this year.
I had some technical problems at Gurston Down. The zoom was wound right in, so you get a brilliant view of a 2" square section of the hood
But i will get the rest posted.

I'm looking forward to some video's as well. Nice to see 924's doing well.
Makes me wish I had a racetrack near me.

Mission is a 5 hour drive from my place, never been there, but I thought they were only drag races?

LOL!
I found YouTube very easy to load video on, much quicker to get sorted than my own website! _________________ Vaughan Scott
