I'm sure i've seen this before but can't bring it up on a search. My gauge has started bouncing at quarter full,I'm checking the spades on top,but where does the earth lead connect to ground? _________________ 1983 924 N/A |

Mine does this also, recently I removed my Fuel Sender and cleaned up stuff. Sadly no results...But anyways, I would think the ground (earth) would be near the left taillight. _________________ =====>Alex<=====

I've just tried to trace it back from the top of the sender. It passes between top of tank and boot floor but i can't see the other end underneath or at the back anywhere?
Incidentaly, what is the capacity of the tank?.After cleaning up the terminals on the sender i now get a steady quarter tank but i've just put 20 litres in?
Oh,it's a new sender...

16.4 gallons... you can translate that to liters if you like. _________________ '79 Porsche 924

The grounds for the fuel sender end up in the rear-of-car harness, and are terminated at the grounding point between the tail lights. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Thanks Ideola,
It was sosking wet around there, probably from some damage to my hatch seal.I now also have a hatch release that works properly!
