I am running 225/45 /15 tires , have heard some bad tales about new hoosiers cording very early , for me , in their track life , any comments? also has anyone tried the new avon tech r tire ? looks a lot like the old hoosier and the deminsions are almost the same , tried hoosiers the other year , they were used but great just got too hard, have shaved kuhmos 700 tires now they have lasted since last sept and are still ok , have been told that lap times will drop 3 sec or more with neew hoosiers , but do not want to pay almost 800 bucks for two weekends thanks for any insight Jesse _________________ jesse wall 'new driver' , 87 924s |

I plan to try the Avons unless they start getting bad reviews. _________________ John

Jesse, I forgot where you asked about wheels. I found this site showing 11 lb wheel!

Hope they have a Porsche's lug nuts pattern. _________________ R.I.P.:a 924 ITA race car |

If someone finds a good lightweight 15x7 (53mm offset) wheel, please post it. I definately need some track wheels, my 15x6 just don't cut it. _________________ Tim
