| hey guys, i figured id put this in this forum bucause it gets the most attention. anyway, im looking to replace the stock 944 engine in my 87 924s with a 951 engine or something equal to it. at this point i dont care about the condition, as long as its repairable, i plan to keep my 2.5 for this summer while rebuilding and preparing for anychanges that need to be made. next winter ill swap em hopefully. so if anyone has any good leads please let me know... thanks john |

It will likely be a lot of money. Anyway I do not know if I can get one, but how much of the engine do you need? Turbo, intercooler, plumbing..... need all that info

I checked and I can get you a complete 944 turbo motor out of 87 944 turbo with 90K miles on it for $2200 plus S&H.

eturbo, can you find other engines like that for cheap? i was thinking about piecing together a 951. but i have to wait until i save enough money for a clutch job.  |

well, like i said, i can't really get into anything right now b/c i have to save for a new clutch and a few other things for my 924S right now but i'd like to get a low mileage 951 engine with belts already done for as cheap as possible.

Well other engines.
The shop is looking at the purchase of a 89 944 with 2.7 L engine. I am told this has the same block as the 3.0 motor just a smaller crank. Anyway I can get that motor for the same cost as the turbo motor $2200... well that is if it becomes available.
Any interest in either motor drop me a line. Some discussions are going on with the turbo motor but no deposits yet.
