ok here's something i want to know. today i started a car and after a few mins of running i tried to rev it up i press the gas to the bottom and it would rev up to 3000 rpm's and drop down to about 1500 - 2000 rpm's, after it warmed up it would rev up to 4000 and drop after that...is it my compression? and what exactly would cause that.???
btw i can hear some knocking somewhere in the engine. would that compression cause that if it is a compression
please HELP

Dunno about the knocking...could be unrelated.
Check CO2 sensor attached to cat. |

| I agree it could be the oxygen sensor, but check the timing also. |

Your engine tuning's off and you have a blown headgasket.

Concerning the knocking, try running your valves again. Concerning the shutting off, it sounds like your ignition timing is too advanced. Check you timing and vacuum advance and retard lines to the distributor. Is it missing at low rpm's? If not it is doubtful you have a blown head gasket.
