Sounds more like your clutch needs to be bled - unless the MC or slave have failed. It's not uncommon. Check for fluid leaks: under the back of the engine/bellhousing (slave), and under/on the carpet behind the pedals (master). If one is bad, replace them both, because the job of bleeding the system is so incredibly hard you won't want to do it ever again, and they usually fail within months of each other.
The most important thing when bleeding is to raise the rear of the car as high as possible - this helps get bubbles to the bleeder screw.
Oh, yeah, one more thing - if the clutch were bad, it'd be slipping. |

| Well it does make sense. I just replaced the slave about 1 month ago. there are no external leaks, but when the slave went, the fluid dropped down mpty so im sure that there is master cylinder damage. anyone else who owns a 944 or 924s can answer this for me..... is the clutch really really really selective on your car? by this i mean is it hard to disengage without slipping...hmm, this could be a result of the master...ill check it out, thanks guys |
