hey guys, how's everyone...anyways here's what's going on...i tried to do anything and everything with rad fan and just doesn't want to start, i have changed the thermo switch and that didn't help either - could it be a thermostat, but if it is i don't understand how would it relate to not starting the fan... or maybe it's a resistor?
correct me if I am wrong but resistor has it's wires to the rad fan and heater... right? well my heater inside doesn't blow any air what so ever, any ideas there? could it be connected (thermostat?) but no air comes out from vents... kinda sux its -35C everyday and the car doesn't have a heater
well any return are apreciated.
thanx
Dan

I see two issues here. It is 35 below zero, so your radiator fan will not come on. The engine is trying to make heat, not get rid of it. Your heater has its own fan. It is either not getting power, or it has jammed, most likely from lack of lubrication.

I would see if power is getting to the fan. if it is not, getting power to it will be much easier than taking out the dash to be able to fix the fan. At 35 below zero, this would be a horrible job. Good luck.

again the heater motor should run if you 'hot wire'it just 2 test wires to the motor over the top next to the wiper motor as is on my 1979 924 run from the battery if you cant hot wire the motor its jamed up or not good any more

and the second i have bypassed the rad fan wiring and put a switch under the steering wheel, now when i need it i can just turn it on manually
