My mechanic was hooking my engine back up after the rebuild and broke a terminal off of the oil pressure sending unit. No one locally has one. I've got a track event that I need to leave for on Sunday the 17th and lots of other little things to do to get the car ready. Anyone have any idea where I can lay my hands on one ASAP? Are there any other applications/substitutions that will work?
Thanks,
w.a.

Time to start doing it yourself? I'm thinking?

Pardon be for seeming a little dense, but did you try your dealer or best local euro car parts store? They're available in the aftermarket no problem...

Yes, tried the dealer, even tried the VW dealer. They don't keep them but said they could probably get one. Any recommendations on a parts house that might actually have one in stock?
Best,

any vdo 10 bar pressure sensor will work the gauge. if the sensor you obtain has 2 terminal connect one to earth. the combination pressure sender, warning light sensor is a little more difficult to come by. 10 bar vdo sensors are available at most instument shops. connect blue with white wire to gauge. if required you can tee off the rear of the head and fit a warning light switch and connect to blue with black wire
cheers
