Well Blury, I'm glad your taking an interest in racing. I hope you continue to run a 924. My first response would be to get a prepped car. Jon from CO has a car for sale that is ready to go. Where are you located? if on the east coast you could run in PCA, SCCA, and NASA. With a variety of track to go to. I run in SCCA and NASA and I have a blast even though the car needs much improvement but were getting there. SCCA can be intimidating but Vaughan and I know the GCR book pretty well. Please feel free to contact me off board.

Im on OK and there is only one track (that i know of) its called Hallett motor speed way and its a damn good track. I want to run my 924S mainly because if i dont i will end up selling it. It sounds bad but it just sits in my drive way and gets taken out once or twice month and thats just not right. Not only that the car feels real good and i have it pretty much set up the way i want it right now (well i need a new off road pipe mine has hole in it and new seats which im getting very soon) So i figured that would be my best option to race it. I just want to weekend warrior it at first then get into some real racing but i also want to be on the track with other cars thats what excites me. _________________ Polish your apc banner and shut up |

Then you're right near Bob Dodd (Zuffen) and Jeff Hinkle at 944Racing.com. You need to talk with them about what racing opportunities are available at Hallett. _________________ Vaughan Scott

first of all join the Porsche club and visit the PCA website and hunt down the Cimarron region.
I will workign the Octobers club race at Hallet, I'm the runaround boy for the chief PCA steward I think, hell I can't remember what I'm doing. Last year I was tech for scales and the pre race inspection.
There are some corner worker spots open, you get a shirt and free food and three days of Porsche racing. POlenty of guys to talk with and figure out what you want to do.
There will be a DE if you want to particpate.
