I have a 44spoiler with foglites so its complete I cleaned it up good enough last nite to bring it in the house if I want to ..No Im putting it on the front there like yours ..modification wise I see that when I hold it up to the fender Im going to cut a straight line across the fender about 3/4 of an inch below the top of the side marker then bend a lip over about another 3/4 and drill ot and mount the side that way aligning from the front just behind the bumper the 44 spoiler is to wide its going to have to be trimmed I like the way the 44 spoiler flares out in the wheel well though I think Im trimming that flair off or I d have to cut out a section from the center
and thats not good..So Ill trim from the wheel well side also it appears that the 44 spoiler is to wide so Ill take out a piece from the center and thats about it I dont think its to tall...

thats a remote control airplane a piper cub with 5 ft wingspan just above it and to the left you can see the tail of my low wing sporster and under and to the right of the piper cub is the body of a electric sail plane with a 6 ft winspan just a hobby my dad started me on in denver when i was a kid.
He owned a pubic airport there in denver called columbine avaition he
bought it and built it up after he quite his drywall company in the mid to late 70s he had a bunch of grumman tigers and cheetahs and a few other planes so he taught me to fly and started me in this hobby ..No I dont have my pilots license would like to someday though. I think the most planes they out there was over 250 he had airshows in the summer it was fun
remotes or RC airplanes are a lot of fun.You buy them as kits and then put them together, there gas powered and go around 50 -70 mph with a range of about 1 mile.

I thought you might be trying to do the same mod I did.....I will give you some pointers to help you get the same results.

You have the right idea when you talk about bending a lip for the valance to bolt up to. I would shy away from the 'bending method personally....you will likely destort the meatl badly and you will need to cut the ends to allow the edge to bend.

Heres what I did.

Cut off the lip of the valance that would bolt up to the lip of the fender....so it would lay flush to the 924 fender( you won't be using that part anyway.
I bolted the 44 valance in place in the mid section (near the rad) Mine bolted right up in the stock holes.
I then clamped the ends to the fenders and marked lines on both sides where I thought it look best. Then took the 944 valance back off and zip cut on the line.
At that point I bolted it back in place on the car, clamped and marked the same line on the fender....agian the zip wheel cut off the lower section of the fender( don't faint yet Joe)

You also noticed that the 944 valance over hangs towards the wheel bu 3 inches. You will want to retain the stock edge for it's shape and rigidity. This is wear you have to make some carefull measurements and cuta 'section' out of the valance...so that the stock edge now lines up with the flow of the wheel well.(look at the pic to get a feel of what I am talking about http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=3819

Now...don't throw away the piece you sectioned out of the valance..this will be glued back to the top of the valance to give you a lip to bolt back to the edge of the fender.

*** There is the option also Joe to not make a lip on the fender or the valance...but to blot it directly through and using a trim/slash fastening strip...also the easier route....since you don't have a welder.

I will keep on how you finish the valance.....once you have the peices cut apart you now have to reassemble the valance....Since it is made of poly urathane I used a semi fexible 2 part epoxy that bonds well to that material. be sure you V out both sides very well. Tape one side together well (outside perferably before you remove the paint too) Then glue together on the back side and cover entire work area with the epoxy.
On the outside you will only want to V the actual cut itself and limit the amount of epoxy as to not get too much build up. Make sure you don't put epoxy over any paint...it won't stick.

Now you are down to body work ..and you can do that if your a crack filler.!!

If you were to want to bolt this together using 2 lips that go together...it gets harder to do....I don't think you could bend the lip....one the fender has a curve in it making it nearly impossible to make a bend without screwing the fender up.

I will let that sink in ....and I will help you along once you decide which way your going to go.
