With calibrating the WUR, we mean setting both the cold and warm pressure. The warm pressure has to be set first, by pushing in or out the black fuel cell...

Ah, this is interesting - I've not heard this called out specifically, but it makes sense I think... you mean to move the black piece that the fuel connections attach to? I can see this working just the same as the other adjustment...

Jup, exactly that!

By pushing the black part where the lines attach (I've heard this named the "fuel cell") you move the diaphragm itself. It ultimately affects the pressure that the small metal post inside the WUR exerts on the diaphragm itself via the coiled spring.

Tapping the fuel cell down towards the body = more diaphragm pressure when the small post exerts maximal force = higher warm control pressure

But I also think this would affect cold control pressure, because the small post is exerting some force on the diaphragm when cold, its just less force than when the bimetal spring is warm

Yes, when you adjust the warm pressure, the cold pressure also changes. The other way round... not so much.

That's why I recommend starting with the warm pressure, then wait overnight and adjust the cold pressure.
