|
|
I've seen a reman connector and pins for the headlight motor but It seems to have vanished from the internet. Does anybody have a lead for new pins and connectors for our headlight motors? I have multiples toofahs with destroyed connectors so I'm sure this is a frequent issue. Cheers _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)

For sure they're I wanna say pretty ordinary AMP Molex connectors, so should be available from the typical electronics supply houses, like Newark, Mouser, or Allied. Then it's a question of the exact parts/numbers... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Funny enough they actually look very similar to moles connectors I’ve seen in a bunch of different gaming computers I built for me and friends and family. Am having devious thoughts about hacking up an old dead power supply to try. I’m trying for top level finish on my Sebring rebuild so that’s the only thing stopping me lol. I swear a 944 based company had a rebuild kit for them. damn internet is too big lol _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)

Totally off-topic here but just trying to help a friend.
Malcom, i see in your signature that you have a parts car...would you sell the oil dipstick and its housing & bracket off that parts car to Tray?
He has his own but for some reason its been shortened and missing the housing&bracket. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I have a dipstick and housing but don't ask me where the bracket is lol, have him send me a pm or you send one and we can arrange for it and shipping. Another off topic side note, will your efi plug and play be compatible with 931 setups or strictly 924 Na? I have a bucket 931 that I would like to stand alone and is the best candidate to be modified in the manner I want, and your setup seems very elegant and will reduce custom work needing to be done. I need to have a closer look, but in theory it should fit.
Difference could be at the injector retainers as the intake manifold may be slightly different in that area...i need to have a look. Also if its an S2 you'll need Mike's solution for holding the sensor. If its an S1 you can just upgrade to the Audi larger TB like we do on the supercharged application and run the same bracket/sensor as i do. So yeah, efi will fit but with a couple of small mods maybe needed. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I'd say the S2 931 is easier to mount the TPS on vs. the S1! _________________ Vaughan Scott

I don't mind some small mods to make it work, I have both intakes laying around but my car is currently a S1. Keep up the good work mate. _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)
