Instead of swapping the brake lines off a 5-lug car has anyone bent their own lines to fit a turbo master? My donor car has a dogleg box setup and a engine in it and is in a shit spot to work on, so although I have the 5-lug brake lines, the car really has them till I strip it allllll down. Not entirely what I want to do. Would much rather bend new brake lines and spend my time learning that skill than cussing and crying under my car. Leading me to my main point of who's done this before on these cars and how'd it go? What tools did you use and where did you get the fittings and line at? Cheers in advance. _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)

Have not done it on a 924, but have bent and flared many brake lines. You need a tubing bender and a flare tool, as well as a small tubing cutter. If you are doing the job yourself vs. paying for pre bent on all or most of a car, the tools will pay for themselves.
There is a bit of finesse in the flaring of the ends. Making sure you have the right amount of tube sticking out to flare is important.
A lot of people seem to like the cupra-nickel lines which are very soft, I have had trouble making good flared ends with those and prefer stainless steel.
You can also buy lengths of line with a variety of different flares at your local auto parts store and bend them yourself. That might be the easiest option.
On tools I have Harbor Freight stuff, it works, but there are better options, I think Eastwood Company makes a nice set. _________________ 88 924S

Good tools make your life easier. Buy some more material and practise a bit.
I did change in my 931 the awkward X setup (left front / right rear and vice versa) to a regular front and rear setup, followed by a master cylinder change to a 25.4mm diameter one. _________________ ---
