Well I finally got the car out of the neighborhood took to for a real drive, with some highway driving.
However I have the door cards out while Im redoing them....
there was a lot of wind noise, would the door cards make THAT much difference?
I mean it wasn't much quieter than having then windows down. And OR what about the door seals?
gotta do something to quiet it down, couldn't hear my tunes very well with out turning it up loud enough to become bothersome. _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |

The door seals make a big difference, i put new ones in, which are way thicker and have more lips than the original ones, it took out almost all the wind noise I had around the a-pillar, best nvh upgrade ive done yet _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

I think the old one was superseded by the new thicker ones, which i think was introduced with the 944 at some date to make the NVH better. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

not 100% sure if it's between the models, but my car came with 'old' seals, those did not go 'around' the top part of the door/windowframe. I installed 944 ones that I got with a bag of parts, those did go around the windowframe and seem to close the gaps much better.
Can also imagine them being much more quiet. |

I put some "Dynamat" knock off material on the inside of the door skin which helped alot as well. _________________ 1981 924 N/A (Now the parts car)
