So we all know about GT Racing (apparently shite quality) in the US but is there anyone else that makes fiberglass stuff for the 924 ? I did a Net search but only came up with a guy in Poland that wants stupid money for it.
I'm looking for a hood, front fenders (924 NOT 944), Lexan rear glass and possibly doors. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anyone in the US that is making narrow 924 fenders in f/g.
The other big three f/g vendors are:
American International Racing: www.americaninternationalracing.com
Infinite Fiberworks (a.k.a. IFC): www.allporscheracing.com
CCP Fabrication: www.ccpfabrication.com
There are probably about half a dozen or so in Europe, but I've lost my bookmarks...can try digging them up from memory if the US guys can't help you. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I bought my fiberglass hood from Rennspeed http://www.rennspd.com/
and other GTS fiberglss parts (rear flares, hood scoop, front bumper and rocker panel) from IFC and AIR.
All good quality parts, would buy from them again. _________________ 1976 924 N/A ROW SOLD

We have a local manufacturer in Russia. They do make 924 front fenders and hood, but they don't have any Lexan parts. Shipping may be an issue as well. _________________ WBR, Shurick

I got my GT hood scoop and GTS front bumper from AIR. These were very good quality. I got my rear flares and headlight buckets from GT Racing. These were not the same quality. I spent about 6 hrs. re-working the headlight buckets and 2 weekends getting the rear flares to fit.
The front bumper just needed brackets for the driving lights and basic prepping and the hood scoop just needed basic prepping. AIR parts are very nice. _________________ 84 944--924 Carrera GTS clone w/520HP Chevy 302 V8--RUNNING!

I got a front bumper from CCP quality is good, but you do have to make your own bumper mounts as there is no way the stock ones would work. Bumper is 5 lb and my mounts are about 4 oz ea vs the stock shocks at about 4lb 3oz. each and the bumper at 17lb. On any impact the fiberglass would just shatter so the stock shock mounts would serve no purpose. _________________ Mike

I will be making some 'narrow' parts very soon. I have been pretty much disappointed in general with so called carbon parts since they back it with so much glass. I won't name names but I do have a bumper I feel I paid a lot for that is a thin layer of carbon and the rest crap. The glass back isn't E or S glass but chopped and so forth. Really resin heavy and I am a weight weenie so I don't tolerate things like this. I want quality even if its glass. You can make light parts in glass and typically lighter than what you buy
Anyway once the molds are made, glass or carbon will be possible. I do have some experience with this and just started another carbon project this week for the 24/31. If successful its useful on all the 24's. Im sorta keeping it a surprise form you guys until its done. fingers crossed
But you could also take this on yourself. Both the glass parts and lexan. In particular the lexan part was interesting in this build thread. Never thought of doing it this way. Especially if you have a spare hatch to try this out

Then his hood project.

Also search youtube...the DIY is endless in this catgory.
Or I would go CCP. My experience with them is close second hand but I liked the parts from the outside _________________ 1980 931 since 1989
