|
|
Hello all,
With the 924 reaching the big 4 0, I thought it might be fun to hold a birthday bash somewhere in Australia to celebrate.
Thoughts are nothing too fancy, considering tying it to the PFA national meet however just looking for interest at the moment.
If any 924ers in Australia are interested please let me know. Thinking to hold the event in the second part of this year. |

My first big drive in my 924 was when I moved to Townsville in 1999. Amazing how much you can fit into a 924... couldn't fit everything in the 924 when I left a few years later.
Did a trip down south one time and was caught is a huge storm... strange the memories you create with a car when you have it for a few years.
Not many Porsches in Townsville then, suspect a little different now. . |

Well I`m over 2000 to the QLD border from Adelaide, but be good to meet you in person John.
Always up for a road trip if anyone ever gets it together.

or/...
1.5 nights driving
with one days stop
far less stressful, no caravans, volvos, asian drivers, public transport, old people, rubber neckers, american tourists on wrong side of road, log trucks, cyclists ...
...i do this almost every year with my red 924 too... _________________ World`s quickest 924 2L slushbox

Id like SYDNEY, but Coffs Harbour seems a good midpoint, unless you want inland?

I'm moving to Brisbane from Melbourne in a few weeks but will not really be able to travel far after that.
Have hosted a few 924 BBQ's at the garage before, happy to do so again. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Hello all,
It's great to see some interest from the 924 board to mark our birthday celebration.
It seems that we have a smaller cluster of potential party goers around Brisbane.
I have no firm date or location however I'm leaning towards the second half of the year, location south of Brisbane. Accept that the gathering could be very small, perhaps a drive, lunch and pics somewhere?
Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Hi Aussie 924 aficionados, I have just joined the "club" and would very much like to be involved. Keep me in the loop.
I am located in Ballina, NSW.
Can I ask, where can I get small parts in Aus?
My '81 924 needs lots of smaller bits and pieces to be brought back to original. _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA
