Is this value....


These bolts???

I ask because I pooped myself this AM as I snapped one in half tightening it up to 61 ft/lbs. Crisis averted as there was enough bolt sticking out to grab onto with a vice grip.

Sounds to me like one is likely NM and the other is FT lbs. 82nm is pretty close to 61ft lbs.

Reading the table I think you want the line about 5 down from the one you circled at 29ft lbs so you were overdoing it some at 61.

Those little bastards should not be tighter than you can go with one to two fingers on the end of a ratchet (read: 30-40 lb-ft).
