You'd have been better off leaving the subwoofers and their enclosures out if you're concerned about weight. That probably didn't lose you as much as you thought, but whatever.

Also, don't use that "harness bar" you made. There's one available for sale on Craigslist in Vancouver. Though you would be better off putting at least a 4-point bar in the car if you're going to use a harness on the street with race seats. The seats and harness will hold you upright and if you roll it you'll end up like Jayne Mansfield. Also without a HANS device your head could try to leave your body ala Dale Earnhardt.

Bottom line? Use ALL of the safety gear or none of it.

I think you should look to purchase a fiberglass or CF one if you're really concerned about weight.

I believe the real purpose of those holes is from some Honda folks. The faster drag cars that had stock rear bumpers where it would basically act like a parachute from the air coming under the car and catching in the bumper. If you've ever been to the track, you will so a ton of Civics/Integras/Etc without rear bumpers or with these speed holes.

Half of them may just do it without any noticeable affect, but the fast ones it can be beneficial.

is it just me or the holes are not always sme distance from each others and maybe not top align.

if you are happy with the results I am happy for you...but i would have gone with a fiberglass version.

why do i keep remembering simpsons when someone makes speedholes

Joe, you might as well have left the bumper off and just glued foam in place, shaped it and covered it in fiberglass. That would have been lighter and just as strong.

The holy bumper lol. inside was painted black and after some serious masking...theres some silver base on it.

What if I put some red lights on each outside end.
Theyd turn on during breaking.
