Has anyone ever replaced a "welded on" badge panel with a "bolted on" panel(panel between headlights)?
If so, what modifications needs to be done to complete this swap(drilling holes obviously, but what else)? _________________ Euro 924, 1976

I replaced mine. I carefully cut out the spot welds with a spot weld cutter (looks like a very small hole saw) ground down the left over bumps. Then I lined up the new panel, drilled holes and used screws and nuts. The difficult welds are under the front right above the bumper. But overall it isn't too bad. _________________ 84 944--924 Carrera GTS clone w/520HP Chevy 302 V8--RUNNING!

I took a nose panel from my 944 85 1/2 and I did not encounter any welding taking it off. Might be a good start.
I still have it and it is in good shape.
