After seeing what brockoli did with his PD's I decided to pimp my ride with some gold wheels. I'm trying to rock the BBS look with walmart price. It's pretty easy to work with and actually looks pretty good. The texture is kinda rubbery. I bought the wheel kit (4 cans of vintage gold and one can of "glossifier") for 45 bucks and I have a bunch left over. I sprayed it right over the original silver, no base coat. Here's some pics of the just finished wheels. And yes, I know I sprayed over the stupid crimp on weights which look like crap to begin with.

yep, not only looks very good, but because of darker color dirt/brake pad dust won't be so noticeable first.
and it's much easyer to tear this plasti-dip down than to wash spiderwebs with tooth brush _________________ Porsche 931 1980 widebody CS / no, stock again

Looks good! I found out after I did mine that a base coat was not necessary. You can spray the gold metallizer right on to the wheels. I didnt use the glossifier tho, it definitely gave the wheels a different color.
Did you have nay issues when torquing the lug nuts? I placed my lug nuts in the holes when spraying so the mounting surface of the wheel-lug nut didnt get coated. I read on the internet that some people had the dip tear when the lug nuts are snugged down.
So far I have been really impressed on how my dip has turned out. I have done numerous track days and some km's on the weekend and havenet had the dip chip or peel. I have one spot that started to bubble but it was there right after paint. I think I missed a spot when cleaning.
We get priced gouged in canada for the same product. 4 cans here was $100
(you should lower the back suspension of your car by adjusting the eccentric bolt, however I think you will need an alignment after doing so) _________________ '80 924 M471,Wideband O2, Full coilover susp,23/19 sways,Bilstiens,KLA Strut Brace,Roll Bar,Test Pipe,BBS RS, Willwood BBK
