If you've (entirely understandably) fallen in love with Porsche's red-headed step-child and simply must have one, no-one's yet mentioned perhaps the most obvious choice, an automatic 924S. A decade newer and measurably better than a '77 toofah in every way. An '87 is bang-on a quarter-century old and might just qualify as an Antique Auto for insurance..?
On the other hand, don't even bother if you're hooked on the idea of turbocharging something. Definitely not the right car for that project.
EDIT: Oops, ideola did indeed mention it in your other thread. Sorry, back to non-factory huffers... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

I had a BAE turbo kit on my last 924. It fit well and performed well. I had found someone selling the kit used with a bad turbo. (loose bearings) So i rebuilt the turbo and installed the kit. It ran about 6 PSI of boost with some lag. _________________ 84 944--924 Carrera GTS clone w/520HP Chevy 302 V8--RUNNING!
