It seems that since my 924 would be running as a classic in the classic car class of VGP and MGP, im not allowed to modify my ignition system to any of the latter modern types. Restrictions state that the system has to be offered by the manufacturer or in period. Therefore since I have installed in the car the common non electronic system distributor system I was wondering of changing this to the latter electronic systems found on latter models of the 924. This system is as far as I know factory issue.
My question is , it this a direct swap? what would I need as parts and what would I need to do to alter the common system to the latter electronic system which simply has to be in period.
I might be wrong but I think that the latter electronic ignition system is better than the common type system.

When you say period, does that mean after market available at the time of vehicle production? If that is true you can run an Allision ignition system. They are now known as a XR700 or fireball ignition. I currently run then on my 64 Spitfire and my 76 Tr6. _________________ 77 924
