For those who enjoy pondering "options" for our Sachs clutch assemblies, check out this page from a company local to us here in PacNW:
Horsepower Freaks.
P.S. Yes, I know the descriptions are rife with errors. . .924 5.0 Club Sport! Woot! _________________ Toofah King Bad

Heh, they do have a nice chassis dyno there and plenty of parking and being in the approach path of Portland' Airport and being in an industrial park means they won't get hassled for dyno testing 1000hp cars (saw one there the last I stopped by for a Dyno test day, very impressive to watch) _________________ Stefan

These clutch kits are all SPEC an I'm pretty sure could be found cheaper with a little google-fu :s
for example: http://captwholesale.com/i-170052.aspx is the stage 1 turbo clutch as cheap as I can find it. I can't really vouch for the website but that's pretty cheap compared to other places. _________________ 1980 931 |

Nice websites guys. Although it doesn't say on either website what HP/torque they will handle - annoying use of vague terms like upgraded power etc etc!!!! For $450 - $750 and 5+ hours fitting it I need to know what its capable of!!! _________________ UK spec '83 N/A with 931 motor with Eaton MP62 'charger @ 15psi. EFI - 565cc inj. It would be nice to know what the aluminum flywheel is like. Given that there are three versions of the 931 flywheel, I wonder which one the SPEC flywheel emulates? This is one of the main reasons I didn't order a SPEC clutch package because I wasn't able to get a definitive answer on the flywheel question... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
