I'll be adding a boost controller shortly to the 941. However, I do not want to butcher the stock wastegate actuator line, given their rarity. Does anyone know where I can find metric to hose barb fittings? The wastegate actuator line has M12x1.5 threads, but I can't find any hose barb fittings with metric threads, only SAE. Ideas? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Maybe an adapter bushing from M12 1.5 to something common sae like shown on this website http://www.egauges.com/vdo_indA.asp?PN=R7962 _________________ Custom means it didn't come from a box.

Thanks Min! I ordered one each of the M12x1.5-to-1/8NPT and M14x1.5-to-1/8NPT bushings from egauges.com. There is actually a male-to-male M14-to-M12 reducer between the actuator line and the charge tube, so both sizes are needed. I'll then pick up some cheap 1/8" NPT to 1/4" hose barb fittings from the local hardware. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I believe an alternative is to pull the pressure signal from the over-boost switch port on the charge tube to the top port of the waste gate. Just work out a 'T' arrangement at that port. _________________ "Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right. Unless you are goin' all the way."

My buddy did it this way. Worked great. As Paul says, Easy.
I cut into wastegate line, which is what you're trying to avoid. It has worked well for me.

I've done it both ways but kind of like leaving the waste gate signal line intact now a days, particularly since the alternative is easy. _________________ "Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right. Unless you are goin' all the way."

You should consider the size of the pipe when you are going to add a boost controller. And you might need an adapter bushing for the controller. _________________ My online plumbing |

found a way to have a NA fuel hoose fit...but looks stupid with that extra hoose....so giving the fact that i have spare WG line...i decided to cut one and put in the boost controller.
Plus..there is a company here that can re-make that hoose as new for cheap. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits
