Have a 87 924S with problem at the passanger window switch. Both windows will operate up and down from the dirvers side. The passangers side will only go down with that switch. Will not go up, but the drivers switch will make it go up. Have switched the switches from side to side and still not working. Have tried three other switchs and no. Don't really understand the Haynes diagrahm. Since the right window will go down there is power to that side and since the window will go up and down from the left switch the motor is working. I have pulled the door panel and cleaned the contacts. Any thoughts or experience in this area will be appreciated.

Mine don't work at all....either switches either window.....nothing.......I hope to take the switches out this week and check for current and start by cleaning the switches.

My S does the same, I think it is a break in the wiring. The loom going into the door looks awful.

Found a window wiring diagrahm at Clark's Garage. Upon close inspection, I had the sw adjusted incorrectly. The Pass sw on the drivers side and on the pass side have to be adjusted so that the brass strip makes contact on the thin curved end in the nuteral and pressed positions. This lets 12+v go through the drivers side (pass sw) and over to the pass side sw.

The curved thin end has to be at the pin #5 end and on the other side at the pin#4 end. Following the diagrahm you will see how the current passes through the sw on drivers side and goes over to the passangers side sw. So, without removing the door panels, was able to adjust the sw's and now all windows work as you would expect. Hope someone with picture tallent will post this in the HOW TO
