Had a bad weekend out this past... car kept going slower and slower... it was all due to trying out someone else's alignment settings, in an attempt to go faster; however the change was directionally incorrect, resulting in lost lap times. Additionally, my Koni's are now shot and will have to be replaced. Major bummer.
Furthermore, I got no video as the power unit malfunctioned. Then again, since I only spent time trying to keep from getting passed, as opposed to passing people, there wasn't much to see from my car. I am looking forward to seeing the video from the guys who were behind me, though!
Ah well.. off to order some new Bilsteins and get the car fixed and aligned properly...

Yeah, well, it worked for him, he's 5+ seconds faster than me!
The shocks got cooked through use and abuse - not up to that heavy use on track.

I am thinking about upgrading to bilsteins even though the boge shocks I currently have on are fine, can you post a message and let everyone know if u think they are better or worse

I have a set of street (HD) Bilsteins on my 82 931, love em! Very nice, very impressive, good quality, ride is very nice.
What I'm talking about WRT the racecar is Bilstein race struts and shocks. That's a totally different story. The Koni's currently on there are street shocks, far underrated for the loads, spring rates and abuse which I'm piling on.
Believe it or not, I'm contemplating throwing some Munroes or whatever truck shocks on the back for now, just to finish the season, since the stock shocks are trashed. Talked to my supplier, can't get the Bilsteins in time!

Not even. We're talking about race parts, from Bilstein Motorsport - not off-the-shelf parts, custom ordered.

Thing of note...
recently purchased some new Konis reds and it says to add a liquid or antifreeze to the strut tower when inserting the strut...it made a comment about additional cooling during hard use...

Yeah, but still...
I've never been blown away by them except as an upgrade from stock KYB's. The street Bilsteins on my 82 would be an improvement, except I don't want to trash them for two lousy track weekends!!!
Sure, I'm gonna build a motor for the car, but think next might be my last year racing ITA... might focus more on the 944Cup and/or GT4 after that... if not get a Ford (Formula, that is)...

why dont you add a spoiler (fiberglass carrera gt) to your car and maybe a chin spoiler

I have added an airdam - you'll see that if/when I get recent photos scanned - but anything else is not legal.

The Carrera GT uses the same spoiler as the 944. In fact, the 944 spoiler has 937 part numbers.
The spoiler you're talking about is aftermarket. Take a look at pictures of the Carrera GTS, and GTR. They may use a larger fiberglass spoiler, but they're not "short" on the sides like your spoiler, they run all the way up the side of the glass, just like the rubber spoilers do.
They also bolt through the frame, and don't clip on top of it, as on your aftermarket spoiler.

On the plus side, I saw some great footage of me driving, courtesy of my coworker who was chasing me and trying to get by - I hope to get this downloaded someday and on the website, should be very cool.

that is good you can get a video but that sucks that spoilers aren't allowed when I drive my car on the highway I took it out without the spoiler the back end didn't have alot of grip at high speeds but with the wailtail on it i can weave in and out of traffic without a problem the back feels like it is glued to the ground now all I need is a chin spoiler as my front is the only piece that does let go at all
