ive always questioned the "official " weights, seem to be on the high side more often than not.. for 78, theres 126lb difference between euro and us versions, us bumpers and shocks plus cat should only add half that much. and the late 931 weigh in at 2779 for both us and euro versions , we know thats not quite right. But i dont recall the real weights weve already found and are on here someplace, so who knows...

There so many figures and most of them is useless since you dont know exactly whats included in the weight. Over here we have truck scales alongside the road that you can use for free. Do you have them? Weighting the actual car is the only way to know.

There should be some weigth to shed of the front as well, but as easy as throwing things out. Redoing exhaust and intake manifold in something else than 8mm castings should give some possibilities, and changing alternator to a lighter modern one. The battery could be changed to at 19ah bike battery, that one only is almost 10kgs lightening.

My n/a weights in at 1180 kg =2600 lbs, a 79 with sun roof, no electric gadgets. That includes fuel, spare tyre and myself at 75kg. Which is exactly as my Swedish papers said it would. +-10kg at the scale if i remember correct.
