you know your a toofah owner when you try to explain to your friends who drives big block V8’s that you have a 4 cylinder inference engine and that you can’t just slap a timing belt on without the $500 belt tensioning gage, new water pump, pulleys, etc…

you know your a toofah owner when you give up defending your 924 with your friends about the performance/looks and end the conversation by saying, "It's a Porsche!" Usually will win the argument if your opponent knows nothing about cars.

blame everything that is/was/went wrong with the car on the previous owner and not on poor Porsche design.

poor Porsche design = VW-Audi parts bin = Electrical Gremlins.
And don't get me started on the starter, oilfilter, engine mount and battery position, cracked dashes, engine noise, leaking rear hatches (fumes/rain) or the K-jetronic hot start issue etc. etc.

* you spend more time looking for parts than putting them on the car

* The car spends 1 hour on the road for every 5 its getting fixed and ever 15 its sitting waiting for the parts

* your car is a princess and breaks every time you dont drive it weekly

* despite it being slow, being a princess and other associated crap you love your car anyway!!!

- you've lied to the parts guy at the local NAPA because as soon as he hears the word "Porsche" he'll tell you he doesn't have the part.

- you've got more special tools than a Madonna video.

- you collect parts cars and drivers in equal proportion.

- your dishwasher doubles as a parts cleaner.

- you've baked turkeys AND catalyzing caliper paint in your oven.

- you stopped justifying your habit years ago and now just giggle at yourself.

- you research how to align your car BEFORE taking it in because you know you'll have to tell the tech how to do it.

AND!

- you've got the only car for 100 miles in every direction that was built before 1985 AND STILL RUNS!!
