bleh... these are crappy...

Either get a generic Bosch projector or the BMW E46 Bi-Xenon projectors like these ones
http://cgi.ebay.ca/HID-KIT-BMW-E46-BIXENON-Projector-IGNITOR-bulbs_W0QQitemZ350207593420QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5189ffcbcc&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1215%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50#ebayphotohosting

Nice thing about the bixenons is that you only need one, since it doubles as a low beam and a high beam. And you only need one HID bulb per side.

I have the E46 projectors (i actually bought them before i bought the 924 in anticipation lol) and im planning on using them. I got them for about 100$ US for the set. The only thing you will have to do is to fabricate your own circuit to operate the high beam mechanisim for the projectors. There is a lot of sources on the net that describe how to do that. Ive also heard alot of good things about the Acura TSX projectors as well. Check other european cars that have projectors... But what ever you do, dont buy the made in china ones. They SUCK!

Good point, there a lot of people that love to have GTS headlight,
it is now the chance to get started on a good quality, lightweight DIY project.

Don’t forget to PM me you email address to confirm your intention and
if you don’t have a Paypall account, it is free, safe and it offer a great protection to the buyer and seller.

Also, has anyone ever tried using one or two ROUND lights in these templates?

I'm going to regret saying this but I wonder if this would work:

I don’t thing the frame would fit, but the light would certainly look great, do I count you in?

I can measure the dimensions of the projector once i get home. I dunno if the Fiberglass will be strong enough to hold the projctor in... might need some reinforcement but ill look in to it.

Ok i got some measurements:

Height: 3 1/4"
Width: 4 1/4"
Depth: 6"

Note that the mounting depth is at 3"

I think they should be able to fit no problemo... can you get some measurements from the seller to confirm?!

Sweet... Seems like it shoud fit!!! You could even squeze two if you wanted to, but id stick with one if you have bixenons. It also Leaves some room if you want to put in turn signals inside the housing, and leave the bumper for some ducts instead!

The only thing of concern is that how close will the projector lense will be to the plexiglass, and if it would be hot enough to deform it. I guess that depends on the power supply of the HID ballasts (35w vs 50w) i have the latter so i might be the guinea pig lol

Any other people want in on this kit? Anyone here bought one?!

Thank you for all the hard work, but I am in the same situation as Dutch924-racer. I have family in the UK and as such I have a delivery address there. So unless I can jump on the group buy and get local postage, there is no benefit for me...

Apparently these lights are made by PEFA... quick search on the board and this came up:

http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=17045&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I feel a bit more relieved in terms of quality of the kit...

Anyone else wanna join in?

BTW 924-76, how are we going about this? Is the supplier going to ship directly to us or will you be doing that?

Good research xpernet. I’m sorry, I though I’d mentioned it before.
Yes, I’m dealing with Peter at PEFA and he should send us a catalog with every order.

xpernet wrote:

Yes, I'll get 3 and ship 2 to you guys, we will save on shipping.
His answer was:
Peter from PEFA wrote:
I think shipping is the same ( EUR 34)...1 set or 3 set...they are light..

So if you know 924/944 guy close to you, you should arrange shipping with them and save money.

Does anyone have an account with Rennlist and/or Pelican Forum to post a link of the group buy?
We might interest few 924/944 guy and get the number up to ten.

Sweet, that sounds good to me.

Unfortunately i don't know of any other 924/944 owners in my area. Closest guy to me that i know of is DOCO... and he lives about 2 hours away from me.
