Theyll match the red with black highlights/ clolour scheme joe..
Maybe in a year or so ill jump across to disks....really have too much other tings on the car to do right now...it will be a weekend warrior not a daily driver so adjusting drum fade every 5- 6 months wont be an issue for me _________________ 1979 NA

Definatly a thin layer of foam. Like see if you can find something like 1/8 inch to a quater inch thick sheet foam... _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

My dash is kind of beat up.. and it just acured to me that the center console is angled off to a side..Ill have to fix that .. my dash was a mess I filled the heater holes and reformed them with fiberglass resin and light weight filler.
Its my super dash fix.

This is very very interesting. Rich, what do you have against the DIY stuff? Curious if you (or anyone else) has any practical experience on this topic... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Here's a company that claims to have a product that works well for small and large objects like (among other things) dashboard:
http://www.donjer.com/products.htm
They have an air-assisted kit, which might make adhesion better. I'm sure the conventional electrostatic route would be best, but the problem is, I can't find any place here locally that does it, and their electro-static kit is more than I'd want to spend.
Might be worth some experimentation, given the low cost of entry... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Technically it's not suede, it's nylon or rayon fibers that end up creating a suede- or felt-like finish depending on the application process. What makes it attractive is the purported excellent anti-glare characteristics.
(Thanks to bass gt for bringing "flocking" to my attention). _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
