Well, i have a 1980 924 and the windows have stopped working. Ive gotten new switches and im pretty sure that ive replaced the fuses that go to them but they still wont work. Neither work and they seemed to die at the same time so any help would be great.

Especially a fuse diagram of the cars 8amp fuses etc

Since both stopped at the same time, next thing I'd suspect is the relay (may find it clipped to the side of the hvac box right next to the radio relay).

I know you bought new switches but sometimes the old ones can be saved. Over time they corrode as do batteries. Take them apart and remember where the parts went. Clean them and reverse. There is nothing to the switches. You may trash them anyone so why not take them apart and learn something.

What you posted there was the link to the whole page. You need just the link to the pic. Get it by right-clicking on the picture itself while you're viewing it in Photobucket, then click "properties", then select and copy the url that's given in that -

I don't think you'll find the power window relay on the fuse-relay panel. Look around the hvac box.

HVAC is "heating, ventilation, air conditioning" - the large contraption at center behind-below the dash.
Here're my radio and power window relays, clipped to the left side of my HVAC box. -But you'll have a different HVAC box, and I'm not sure where those relays'd be located on your car.

Well, irregardless, its all a little moot now. I was lowering the passenger side window with the jumper cables and i fried something. smoke phizled out of the passenger window switch so ive got to see what happened

But the hvac on a 924 would definitely be under the dash though right?

Exacalary. What you're looking at there in my pic would be just to the right of your right calf muscle if you were sitting in the drivers' seat. It's above the center "hump", behind the radio, part below and part within the dash, but what's shown in the pic is in clear view from the drivers' footwell without removing anything.

Its a little off point but do you know if the door handle mechanism can be adjusted so the doors wont stick as much as they do? I have to yank the drivers side pretty hard to get it open. same with the other one...

A search for all terms on door handle adjustment finds this -

Have you checked the hinges? If they are weak the door will droop, making it harder to open/close.

Well im sure that the driver side door hinges are close to unrepairable, and the door droops a good two finger widths. Its not so much that one but other feels like its "airtight" and i have to yank it to "break the seal" sort of thing. That one has little to no droop.

The only reason i ask how to adjust the handles, is because it seems like the handle has too much play before it tugs on the release cable.

The pillar on the car body that the hinges attach to may be cracked, causing the droop. That's not the hinge itself failing, but what its attached to.

This will require welding by someone experienced in welding thin sheet metal.
