Hi guys I have just signed up for unlimited carfax becasue I am looking to get a 924s. If you need to have one run let me know. I do not plan on running one for everyone on their own cars. Please only ask if you need one. -Ryan

I believe it is a vehicle history report, transfers of ownership, accident claims... I don't know if repairs are in there...

It is exactly what cbass has said. I looked up two potential 924S today and both were lying about mileage. One claimed 51000 although she admitted she didn't know if it was authentic. It turned out to be 151,xxx. Another one where the guy is saying the car is 73000 original miles. The car is actually 173xxx and it has failed a smog check in the not to distant past twice. It great tool if you are looking to buy a car. or if you want to dig up facts about your present car. I don't think European (across the pond) cars would work I am willing to run it if you need it.

I just purchased a 81' 924. The seller had no records, no doc's manuals etc. He wasn't a typical " Porsche " owner (his words). Consider this car liberated from Berkeley and back in the hands of a capitalist who enjoys a good cigar and winning among other things. Here's where this offer is much appreciated. The odometer is broken, previous owner claimed it has 110 K miles or so. I love this car, and love is blind, but not dumb. Maybe blind lucky. A carfax report would tell a lot.
This car is clean inside and out. I suspect it has had major collision repair because the dash looks new, the hood gap is slightly off and in general, this has got to be too good to be true.
