The heater isn´t blowing any air towards the windscreen. Blows air in any other direction. Better than ever, actually.
I already turned the lever in the passenger side footwell, the one where the wire goes, but it didn´t help. Any ideas before I take the interior apart and break open the heater?

| My US version of the Haynes has diagram of the vacuum operated components of the ventilation system. It's at the end of chapter 2 on page 70. There's a vacuum unit shown for controlling the defroster flap - maybe yours has gone bad or the line to it developed a leak? Do you have air conditioning? (The other end of the defroster flap's vacuum line goes to the AC switch in this diagram.) |

| No air conditioning. Can I get to the flap without too much trouble? I think I could get pretty close by taking out the glove compartment... |

Someone else will have to help with this. I looked in the parts catalog, but they don't have anything specifically labelled as the defroster flap. If the defroster flap is the one that I think it is, the cable to it comes from the top-left of the controls and goes around the left side of the heater/vent unit and toward the back. Hopefully someone else has had some experience with it and can tell you more.
