|
|
Man... finally got around to installing speed bleeders and braided lines I bought ages back... except one pair of the speed bleeders are too big - doh. I bought em off ebay, but prolly over a year ago.
Anyone in Oz know where they can be picked up locally? Hoping to get the car moving and stopping this weekend...

IIRC they are 8 x 1.25mm.
A specialist brake shop should have them. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

7x1.0 on the rear and 6x1.0 on the front - at least for my 4-lug setup...

Is there anything special about these?
They look like common bleed nipples to me? |

They have a one way valve in them.
Loosen off a fraction, connect a hose and bottle to the end to catch the fluid and pump the pedal to bleed the brakes. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

Was thinking they had an internal valve but wasn`t sure.
You still have to loosen them off but makes it a one man job rather than a family affair. PITA if you have a pit or hoist.

FWIW, for the fronts I'd suggest the SB7100S model. I got the standard ones, and whilst they seem to work fine are a little longer than required.
