| Whats the max you would pay for a 77 924 in almost original shape (only a couple tears on the seat), and runs fine? |

If it was a sound car.. $2000 - $3000 ..
If it needed alot of work after driven it
depending on what it was then $1500 - $2000
You said it ran fine though so thats what I think is right, just like an old muscle car getting ready to make the jump to big bucks
I think.. 70 s muscle cars you cant get a
deal on em anymore..Buy the porsche or tell that to the guy your sellen yours 2. |

atolicus, you forgot to say where on the planet you are.
Prices vary from country to country and state to state.

| Thankyou very much. The car is in california by the way, and is being sold by its original owner. I jsut wanted a second opinion on the price range because the prices ive seen have only been for those 924s which have needed restoration. Now im sure the price is good to buy this car, thanks again. |

I would pay about $2000 for a car with a very good body and paint, and a decent interior with a few minor mechanical problems. A newish clutch would make me pay more, maybe a few recently serviced items (brakes) as well. For me, the brown/tan and all brown interior cars are worth less than the black interior cars, because the black has aged better (visually). Just a preference. Cracked dashes are no biggie (cap or carpet cover), torn or very faded carpet would be. Seats can be replaced very easily, so no biggie there, but a nice set of seats is worth a premium. $1000-$2500 depending on condition. I prefer the '80-up model cars (5-speeds, more rust proof, more power, oxygen sensor). One owner cars are good, if the owner wasn't a jackass. It's all about what you can find though. Maybe pictures and a complete description? If you're close enough, I'd be happy to come look at it. I'm in Orange County.

The only thing bad about the 77 is the small valves. I prefer the 78 and 79 because there is no 02 sensor and related electronics. Just one more ting to break and very expensive. You can always retrofit an Audi 5 speed in a 4 speed Audi car anyway. As far as rust, my 78 has none but the 82 I'm parting out has rust on the...get this...floors. Wierd.

| Thankyou for the information and the offer 924 Turbo. I live in Vegas, thus I cannot accept your offer to come check the car because I am not sure on when I am going to go check out the car for sure. Though I do appreciate it. Thanks again for the information. |

It's a California car though... They had some different exhaust stuff, didn't they?
Try to get a later model with the 5 bolt wheels...
