How many fuses are in the line, and where they are located depends on how your radio was installed.
What kind of radio were you installing or trying to install?
Was the Porsche Factory Wiring already in the car used, or a harness from the radio's manufacturer?
Porsche installed a relay for the radio, to reduce the load on the ignition switch. If you, or your installer did not use the Porsche Factory Wiring, then the relay, and the factory fuse location would not be important. The factory relay and wiring are not "hot" when the ignition switch is off, but are when the key is in the accessory position.
If you or your installer a Non-Porsche Factory Radio, and Non-Factory Wiring, where the fuse/s would be, and where the power for the radio are connected must be traced out manually. |
