IM new here and yesterday I purchased 2 1977 924 S, in good condition for $2500.00. Actually the 2500 was for one, and he gave me the other one for free for parts.
The one im driving is a Metalic Blue, with black interior. The one I got for free is red with sunroof, with torn interior.
Not as much power as I was expecting, but oh well. I have noticed that while on the highway in 4th I feel this constant jerking motion going on, Im not sure what that is, and the only other thing that is wrong is that the speedodometer quiet working.
Anyone know how much it costs to fix this and what that rocking motion is? |

| ok the speedometer check speedo cable, see if dust cap is stipped and not spinning the speedo cable, if it isnt that it is something inside your speedometer, and the jerking motion check motor mounts, and also what rpm is the car at while doing this. |

| if this only happens in 4th gear at this rpm i think there could be something up with the tranny and at other rpm's you just dont feel it but it could be there |

Do the obvious change the plugs, check the wires, bad gas if the car was sitting for too long,Grounds, filter, put some gas line cleaner in the tank, and a bunch more that the guys can tell you better than I.
Good luck
Where are you located?. |

| if it doesnt seem to happen in the other gears i dont think that doing a tune up will help besides restoring power and either making it worse or less noticable |
