.......From fresh breath.

I dont know how you people can stand to fly at all in that country of yours. I from now on will be making sure I do not have to fly out of the states! You have to have all your personals ie shampoo, toothpaste, soap, cosmetics, deoterant, in a sealed plastic bag. each item cannot be over 3 ounces of material in my case my toothpaste coming in at 3.1 ounces!!! So people are not allowed to have enough personal hygene products to be able to stay clean for more than a couple of days at most.

At what point will you stop and stand back and relook at this problem.

end of rant.

You do realize that by stating that opinion you have now supported terrorism? Do you want the terrorists to win? Do you?

they have those mini toothpastes, mouthwash, soap etc made for travel on the plane, they are super small , I'm pretty sure you can have those.
All grocery stores sell them.

or you can just buy it at your destination.... On short flights I don't usually brush my teeth on the plane.

I agree. The fact that we have to deal with all that means the terrorists have already won. Game Over. We lost.

We lost ages back when we had to remove shoes, belts, receive full-patdowns, complete bag searches when travelling through US airports... been through all that 3 times this year. Mind you India is just as bad... I was there during the Mumbai bombings and the place went into meltdown because of all the extra security at the airport.

I don't think the security has changed much at all. I've travelled to the continental US 4 times in the past 2 months, passing through Dallas,Denver and Phoenix en route to Wichita, and other than not being able to have liquids on your person there haven't been any problems at all. It's pretty well anounced on the TV ,radio etc. what is banned from flights to the US because that list seems to change almost daily. Besides ,how much trouble can it possibly be to grab 10 or 15 bucks worth of toiletries once you get there ? BTW Lizard how the hell can you plan to be gone for a month and only be taking a carry-on ?

Yeah, security is pretty crazy in the States. I never really had trouble in Germany with security, in fact, I think germany has the right level of security. The Guards with MP-5's seem to be enough warning.

You guys are ALL now on a secret "Watch List." If I was Canadian, I would be very afraid. Uncle Sam will soon be confiscating your Porsche.

Did anyone catch BBC about a month ago, when the US gov’t released a Canadian man that they held and tortured for over 9 months because his name was on a “watch list” as he caught a connecting flight in NYC heading back to Canada from Europe. Not even a sorry.

This is typical of our government beaurocrats over reacting. I will say that security at the Frankfurt and Turkish airports were tougher in 72 and 84 when I was traveling on an official passport. That makes us about 20+ years behind the security learning curve.
