Wow, was it fun. Ran about 10 p.s.i. boost, and drove the crap out of Shaggy. Truly awesome! The Shagster was all over a couple of N/A 911s like stink on poo!
Downside. . .ran two of four sessions, due to my brakes getting "crunchy" after round two. Lost a lot of pedal travel, got some grindy-grindy noises (even without brakes applied). I suspect I will find disintegrated brake linings when I pop the drums off tomorrow, as experienced by John B and others. . .
Upside. . .hit 6,000 RPM in 4th on the back straight of P.I.R. 110+? 120+?
Mmmm, velocity!

Now you're hooked for the rest of your life, enjoy!!!
How did you hook up your boost controller? Any issues?
Soft brakes and overheating are the usual problems for first time DE participants.... _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

The "Boost Tee" boost controller is OK, not great. The biggest issue out of the box was that the fittings were for 1/4" ID hose, smaller than the rubber portion of the pressure line to the wastegate. Secondarily to that, it seems that I had some increase in boost with the controller dialed all the way back, indicating that it wasn't designed to give adjustment in the LOW range of the US 931 (6-7 P.S.I. and up). It also surged a little, shooting up to 11-12 before settling down to 10.
The biggest plus for this controller is the the "T" configuration, offering easy in-line installation. Most seem to have 90 degrees between input and output lines.
All in all, I give it an "OK," which would increase if it could be ordered with 3/8" ID fittings.
Oh yeah, and here's the Shagster in "DE" trim!

Well, that would certainly help my brake craptosis. I am trying to hold out for a 924 setup, so I don't have to futz around with the brake lines. Plus, it looks from PET like if an 80 setup is used, I can use my current master cylinder. _________________ Toofah King Bad
