My wife, Merritt, went through her first DE with PCA yesterday; they held a Ladies-Only DE targeted for (but not restricted to) beginners, and we figured it was the perfect opportunity for her to finally get to experience the racecar in the proper setting. She shared the ride with Judi Bennett, a friend of ours. Photos are at:

She had an absolute blast, was carving through traffic - heck, they both were, and never got passed all day! They were doing an excellent job of showing up all those pesky 911's and Turbos that kept getting in the way, too - no shame for the Waterpumpers!

She already can't wait to get back out there and take it up a notch... I warned her she would be a little sore the next day, she didn't believe me, but now she's feeling it... LOL

I was worried she'd get stuck behind some of those powerful 930s and come in demanding the keys to the 931 - but no, even they yeilded to the powerful 2-Litre!

Her instructor was very impressed with the car, too - he thought it was a blast to be in, was a lot of fun, a very confident and safe but fun ride! He tracks an E36 M3, and really likes a car that you can just take out there and balance...

Pretty cool!!! Of coarse it is now going to cost twice as much to race!

Great! Good pictures.

Welcome. You'll enjoy being a crew chief.

Thanks... it was rather nice to have a relaxing day at the track, for a change... probably the first in many many years...
