| Hi Pete, I like the new site colours but when I search via username to see if there are any new postings on the forums I have posted does the print show a colour change if there is a new one? I think it used to. Is there another lazy way to check for new postings on topics I initiated ? |

| Don't log in...... that way it stays the nice grey and light blue. After I reply to this topic my screen will go to night version! |

ADAM, what you need to do is to login and then click the "Edit Your Preferences" link in the top right. Then select a new "Board Theme" and click the "Save Preferences" button.
The theme you get when you haven't logged in is the default which is "Ocean" - that's the grey/blue one so change to that and you'll have that all the time. Try the others, there might be one you like better.
Andy, the search only gives the date/time of the post or reply (in AEST which is useful to you and me but not to 98% of the members).
The default colour theme (Ocean) highlights topics with new posts since you last visited with a pink folder icon and a yellow folder icon for things that haven't changed. If all the folder icons are pink then you don't come here often enough, use a different computer/browser often, have your browser set to not accept cookies or are using a theme which makes the colours had to see.
Also, when you click on a forum the topics are presented to you with the one with the most recent post or reply first. The date column on the far right gives the date/time of the latest post to a topic.
If someone has replied to your post in the last 3 - 4 days the post should be on the first topics page.
The lazy way to find out if someone has replied to one of your posts is to tick the "Notify by email when replies are posted" box at the bottom of the form when you post a new topic.
If you use the email notification please check your email address in your profile by logging in and clicking the "Edit Profile" link at the top right and correcting it if it's wrong. If you don't then the notifications end up coming to me which annoys me and doesn't help you.
Hope this helps |
