The turbo kinda sat for almost 2 years here while I put the na 924 #55 car together. At the end of last season #55 went to live in a barn and we finally got cracking on ol #931, aka 'LJ project'. Wow, was THAT a long time ago!
Don't want to jinx us; but it appears to run fine and we plan on a test day this Friday at Summit Point. Course, it always runs fine sitting on the trailer, yes?
In any case, it this is succesful the first outing in anger (again) will be with 44Cup in May at CMP.
I have a full time fuel control pressure guage and a temporary setup monitoring the output to the fequency valve. Plus, we now own a wideband O2 that can be installed, though I don't plan on it at first unless needed. So, hopefully we'll be able to close in on the problem if it's still with us. _________________ John

As delivered we run under the basic rule-set (as published on the website). We are a PCA H or I car and 44Cup has us at pretty much the same weight as the 944 H or I PCA cars.
Humm. The above sorta assumes you understand the basic 44Cup rules are based on cars meeting either PCA or SCCA IT rules for the cars.
The 'SuperCup' also would be a place you might go with a prepped 931; that would require some discussion with the series director. _________________ John

We have been in discussion with those running the 44cup and will be full scale sponsors in '07 for the new 'open' class that they are running in the NE.
After dicussing what modifications our 931's have, and the kind of power to weight ratio they produce, the experimental 'GT' class is the only spot for them. Hopefully more modified 931/944's will get in the game and make that series a success.
Of course we would love to see the other regions adopt this 'modified' class. This is the first year, and the NE is the test zone. We'll see how that goes, and maybe next season, we can jump in with both feet, and both cars. Needless to say that we hope the 44cup grows exponentially over the next few years and more and more highly modified 931's see the track.
I'll be sure to petition to get the GT class set up in the Florida region next so you can have a go sequential. _________________ Sid
