Last Sunday at the Driver's School at Nelson Ledges Glenn Miller (F&C - Mahoning Valley Region) was struck and killed. A moment's inattention, a misjudgement by a student, and he was gone.

I wasn't at the track that day due to other committments. But it was the same station I worked the day before. One of those "nothing ever happens at..." places. And I know how I get complacent at times, analyzing drivers, the race as a whole, the weather.

Saturday evening he and I talked about the ITC Rabbit he just won Friday on eBay for his son. He was wanting to know if I had a trailer he could borrow to go pick it up. And we laughed about it - since I'm working on borrowing one myself to pick up Rioji's old shell from Jeremy.

And Thursday I will bury my friend.

Sometimes we take this life and those around us for granted. I know I do. This has been a reminder as to how precious it really is.

All can be lost in the blink of an eye.

It's a sad day whenever someone dies.

Man I am so sorry to hear that. How did it happen? Could it have been prevented? My thoughts are with you as well Andy.

On another issue, I have not heard back from you about the tub. Could we push it back to another weekend?

If you don't want to come all the way out to Philly this weekend or if your having an issue getting a trailer we can push things back a little while. We will save the tub from the crusher for you and we might have some parts for you as well.

Unless I can come up to Philly there will be no one to greet you as Dad will now be out of town and has keys to the shop/924 parts/SCCA log for the car.

Finally, I just learned that the Blue Angels are flying right across the street from the place where the tub is at the local air station (probably the last time they fly there will because the base is on the BRAC list to be closed) and it's going to be a nighmare getting to the shop. Crowds are expected to exceed 250-300K on the tarmac alone and it will paralize the entire area for hours.

Is there a way we could push it back to another weekend possibly? I am sorry about this. Let me know. Call me, or email me.
