That's some of our buddies who we race with in the metro Washington D.C. area. The video was made by www.kingratmotorsports.com and they race primarily Spec Miatas but the owners of the team started out with Porsche 944's. They are a great bunch of people, great sense of humor and are extremely helpful. They have helped out with our 924's a number of times.

Check out their other videos too. The one with the two miatas bump drafting down the straight at Mosport is awesome!

I guess that strikes me as one of the more dangerous (and stupid) rookie moves I've seen. *Nobody* is looking for someone to come shooting up the middle and around the sides like that on the pace lap. He's lucky he didn't cause a wreck before the race even started. Probably should have been black flagged right off the bat. No wonder they didn't sign him off. I'd bet there was more than one competitor that wanted to have a little talk with him after the race.

Then again, that audio at the beginning is pretty funny. As if that woman at pit out could actually hear him yelling "I'M SEVENTH!!" What a maroon.

Just enjoy the vid and take it for what it is - a funny video. Happened very early on in the career of a very very competent and very very fast competitor. Stuff happens; and sometimes after the fact it's hilarious.

I think he incorrectly gridded in 6th place so he waved the guy behind him on (the pointing gesture). Then the eighth place guy went straight past him and noone else waved him on so he got stuck.
