Does anyone know :

The torsion bar specs for - ie spring rate and thickness

A - 1980 931 (s1)
B - 1981 924

I need to know if it is worth changing over the torsion bars from the 931 to the 924....

Cheers

Rob

Not worth the hassle, even if they are different. Coilovers are much easier; if you do need to change the torsion bars, get something much bigger. For racing, well, what kind do you plan? I'm running the biggest off-the-shelf ones available (30mm), and still need more.

Coil-overs on the rear? You know how to convert over? I want to delete the rear torsion setup completely and have all height adjustable via a coil-over setup...

ok, I thought you were talking something that you might have done. I am going to do this at some point... but got to get an engine in the car that works first.

Coilovers can be added as additional spring rate to a car that still has torsion bars. I don't do it to my current race car as they are illegal for IT.
