With all do respect to you guys, but Racing did some awsome work on his car (1,7 bar boost ), and WITHOUT any piston problems. Inspite of the fact that his flat-tops were sitting 5.8 mm below the deck. On NA 924 they sit much lower, but in NA there is no boost too though....
I just ordered these 87 mm pistons there: http://www.dalhems.se/engine/engine.html#anchor955961

I'm not suggesting you all to tear your engines apart, but there's plenty of unused 924 blocks waiting for these pistons and why not give it a try?
After that, it's just engine swap.

Just got an email from Mike at Bug Auto. He said the shipping weight is about 30 pounds.

woah! yeah, that sounds very heavy! maybe a metric/sae conversion gone awry in there somewhere (don't feel bad, nasa did it...).

I'm still up in the air about using these. The elemination of all quench makes me worry. But, thinking about it, I don't think the na combustion chamber has any built in quench area?

Well, I guess I'll be the guinea pig. I'm going to give them a try. At 1/3 the cost of JE's and off the shelf, they're hard to beat even if they do bring on detonation. My only consolation is that the na combustion has no squish area either. Having no squish is counter to everything anyone has ever said about performance engine building, but here goes...

way to go Nick.

Let us know what the actual shipping weight is. At 30lbs it costs almost as much to send a set to Australia as it does to buy them.

Nope.
Not norweigan.
Swedish....

Anyways.
Yeah, those slugs are what i used.
Worked like a damn charm.
Yes,the small ends have to be rebushed to 22mm per GTS specs asf,but thatīs a fairly cool deal for any and all machine shops.

Iīve had them at 2 bar plus with my K27 compressor and @ 16 deg total timing with no ill effects.
Even the damn clutch and gearbox held up,albeit iīll admit to that the box started sounding funny at those levels.

As i insisted on keeping the damn CIS i upgraded to fuel system with an SMT6 and in doing so also made the anti lag system work at the flick of a switch.
While "on the button" i retarded the timing by 30 deg and injected approx 1mS on the two 036;s i used for add on.
This made it possible to leave the line with a boost of 1 bar easy, and to be frank that spells smokesville for real on regular radials.
