I'm looking for a nice one as my old original one looks like crap. So does anyone know of any online place with some nice aftermarket option(s)?
Oh and not http://www.porscheshop.co.uk as they do not even carry the one they still display. |

I will check tomorrow, but I am pretty sure a 928S unit will work, and if it will then I have one for sale, _________________ 3 928s, |

i had the machine shop at work do me up a replacement handbrake grip:
they did the door locking studs and the shift lever as well. the shift lever is too chunky, i'll get it slimmed down a bit. The shift pattern was cnc-milled (?) into the top too. It cost me a whopping 2 dozen heineken! _________________ '86 944 |

I can't see why they would change such a small part. It should work. |

The hand brake looks good. I like my shift lever, it's wood {no splinters!} with a Porsche crest shield on top. Nice gear levers can really stand out. You have a great one! |

Even if it does... same problem... where can I buy one. Point is that I want one that fits my car without any big modifications and looks great, as the original one is so god damn ugly. |

The '85.5+ 944 handbrake is a very nice leather wrapped piece. I had to do a little grinding (you could use a file or dremmel) but otherwise it fits very easily. I think you can see it in one of the photos on my webpages (link is below). The quality of it is well above any replacements I've seen.

I too replaced mine with a leather-wrapped 944 piece. I had no problems at all with a straight bolt in replacement. I think I paid $20 on e-Bay, they show up there quite frequently. _________________ '79 Eurospec 931 |
