a 1980 931 turbo will swap in the spot of a 1981 931 turbo, however the 1980 unit has a larger compressor and in turn spools up slower but has the ability to create more boost but you would never hit the boost levels at which would make a difference at or could obtain

physically the same. But '80 will flow more air at high end. The trade off is that boost comes in about 500 RPM later on the '80.

Will never hit the boost levels due to the wastegate or boost pressure switch for the fuel cut? Anyone has flow charts for the various turbos? How much max boost can each run?

Sprint.
